My whole family is buried there and I have had many problems since my husband was buried in 1994. They remove things from the graves whenever they wish. I have had things stolen from our grave sites a number of times. I have asked for a fence or cement parking strips to be placed along airport rd. so that people can not access the cemetery from there. I always get the same answer, "I'll check into it". They have been "checking into it " for 21 years now. Thanks Chapel Hill for your prompt attention and for solving the problem...NOT!!! If there was any way possible I would have ALL of my loved ones moved elsewhere!!!!

At this moment 4/24/2017 I am very disappointed in the service of the Chapel Hill.

On May 8th 2016 I went to place flowers at the grave site of my Mother Janice Peet. The headstone had muddy tire tracks across it, the vase was full of mud and water, the bronze vase and headstone both had deep gouges in them. I was very upset and went to the office to notify them. I explained to Derek Fisher Palmer Assistant Manager that it appeared when they dug a fresh grave near my mother they drove across her stone and did some damage. Instead of apologizing and assuring me it would be fixed, he argued with me over how the damage could have happened. Eventually he acknowledged they contract all grave digging & landscaping out. He said the contractors who perform theses tasks are likely to have damaged it and a repair would be made. No time frame given. I return a month later, still not fixed. I speak to someone else about the issue, Derek is on the phone and proceeds to shout to me from his office that it will take a month and a half. I fill out a second request for repair and leave contact info. I return again, no repairs are made, Derek argues with me again and tells me he has no idea how long it will take. I ask why he never calls to keep me in the loop on what is happening, he tells me he does not need to contact me. My grandfather goes and notices the vase is gone. Derek tells him it has been stolen. I go in to see what is happening with "stolen vase" Derek says it is out for repair. I ask why he told my grandfather it had been stolen, his response was he assumed it had been because it is valuable, but he never looks anything up. I voice to him my frustration with his service and lack of communication. He assures me it will be repaired/replaced by mid September. It is now 11/8/16, 5 months later, not repaired/replaced. Never have I received any phone calls explaining what is going on with the repair. I truly feel like once Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens gets paid they no longer care about your business. I was not treated with any respect(shouting at me from office while twirling in his chair and being on phone. Not decent enough to speak to me face to face). Besides not being compassionate to the situation, 5 months for a repair and no contact or information about what is transpiring seems outrageous. I feel like I have no recourse, they have been paid and do not seem to care if the headstone ever gets repaired/replaced.

Charged us for things that were prepaid. When we found paperwork that showed it was already paid, we couldn't get our calls returned. A month later still waiting for the large refund of the overcharge and still can't get calls returned or answers of where is the refund. Not the way to treat grieving families.

Horrible. For over a year they were looking into my fathers headstone. It finally took the veterans to set it right with them and within six weeks we had the headstone. Now we are having the same problem with my mothers headstone. They are quick to take my money but we are going on seven months for moms headstone. And it is always someone else's fault. How sad. Get it together.
